PM Narendra Modi said he was "extremely saddened" after at least 20 people were killed in the Kurnool bus fire on Friday. He announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased, while the injured would receive ₹50,000. "My thoughts are with the affected people and their families during this difficult time," PM Modi added.
