Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condoled the loss of lives in the Gambhira bridge collapse in Gujarat’s Vadodara. He announced ₹2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased and ₹50,000 for the injured. At least nine people were killed and several injured after multiple vehicles plunge into a river following the collapse of the four decade-old bridge.
