PM Narendra Modi met Fijian PM Sitiveni Ligamamada Rabuka on Monday and addressed a joint press conference. "I congratulate PM Rabuka on the announcement of 'Girmit Day'. This is a tribute to our shared history," PM Modi said. 'Girmit Day' is a commemoration of the day the first Indian indentured labourers arrived in British-administered Fiji in 1879.
