Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced financial assistance of ₹1,500 crore for the flood-hit Himachal Pradesh after doing an aerial survey of flood-affected areas on Tuesday. PM Modi also announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh for the next of kin of the dead and ₹50,000 for people who got injured due to floods in the state. He also met affected families.
