After arriving in Japan on Friday, PM Narendra Modi was welcomed in Tokyo by a group of Japanese artists who recited the "Gayatri Mantra" in his presence. Members of the Japanese community also performed cultural dances and greeted him in Hindi. Modi is on a two-day visit for the 15th India-Japan annual summit, marking his eighth trip to the country.
