Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Sunday that the launch of 'GST Bachat Utsav' will commence from September 22, coinciding with the rollout of GST reforms. He said the initiative will boost citizens' savings and make essential as well as lifestyle purchases more affordable, benefiting all sections of society. The reforms simplify tax slabs to 5% and 18%.
