Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday praised Union Home Minister Amit Shah for becoming India's longest-serving Home Minister. Notably, Shah has been the Union Home Minister for 2,258 days, surpassing the record of former Union Home Minister Lal Krishna Advani’s tenure of 2,256 days. Before them, India's first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel served for 1,218 days.
