Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Aunta–Simaria highway project on NH-31 in Bihar on 22 August, featuring a 1.86-km six-lane bridge across the Ganga. Built at over ₹1,870 crore, it will cut travel by 100 km, ease freight movement, and boost trade. The project is expected to improve connectivity, support farmers, and strengthen access to industrial and religious hubs.
