Centre informed the Supreme Court that the Chhattisgarh Police filed a closure report in a case over Ramdev's remarks against allopathy during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. The complaint was lodged by the Raipur chapter of the Indian Medical Association (IMA). Ramdev had called allopathy a "stupid and bankrupt" science, which caused more deaths than oxygen shortage during the pandemic.
