The Kerala High Court has ruled that police cannot refuse to register a First Information Report (FIR) even if it was sent by email from abroad without a signature. The case relates to 2020, when a woman had emailed a complaint against her husband to Kerala Police Chief from Australia. Police didn't register a case, citing lack of a signature.
