Dilip Sahu, who lost his wife Prabhati Sahu in Puri stampede on Sunday, said police officers fled to protect themselves. Dilip stated his wife was unconscious and he carried her to hospital with the help of other devotees. "Police authorities who should have protected us were nowhere to be found," he added. Three people were killed in the stampede.
