Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia said the Centre's decision to delicense the lower 6GHz band was a "necessity" as it's not a luxury today. The mid-band 6GHz comprises 1200MHz of spectrum, ranging from 5925MHz to 7125MHz. Scindia said he guarantees that policy rules for 6GHz band will be released by August 15 this year.
