A 42-year-old Polish woman named Mirella has been rescued after allegedly being locked inside her parents’ apartment for 27 years since the age of 15. Discovered in frail condition in Swietochlowice, she was hospitalised and found in a near-death condition. Neighbours, who alerted police after hearing noises, described her appearance as resembling that of an "old lady".
