Poor pre pregnancy cardiovascular health is associated with a higher risk of developing gestational diabetes and coronary artery calcium in midlife, according to a Northwestern Medicine study published in JAMA Cardiology. The study suggests gestational diabetes is a marker of pre pregnancy cardiovascular health. "We need to optimise cardiovascular health early in...life," study’s researcher said.
