A post falsely claiming India vetoed Turkey's request to join BRICS is circulating on social media. Former Turkish diplomat Sinan Ülgen clarified that there was "no need to veto" Turkey’s membership as the issue was not voted upon during the BRICS Summit in Russia, The Quint reported. Notably, Turkey also dismissed the reports that India opposed its entry into BRICS.
