A special court in Mumbai has acquitted former BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur, Lt Colonel Prasad Purohit, and five others in the 2008 Malegaon blast case. In 2008, a bomb strapped to a motorcycle exploded in a crowded area near a mosque in Malegaon in Maharashtra, killing six people and injuring nearly 101 people.
