A 26-year-old man, Alexander McCartney, who targeted nearly 3,500 children using catfishing and drove one US girl to suicide was sentenced to life in jail with a minimum term of 20 years. He admitted to 185 charges involving 70 children. A senior police official in Northern Ireland called McCartney a 'disgusting child predator' and said he built a "paedophile enterprise".
