On June 30, 2025, President Murmu attended AIIMS Gorakhpur’s first convocation. Praising AIIMS as a symbol of world-class healthcare, she lauded the institute’s rapid progress. She urged young doctors to serve underprivileged areas, uphold empathy, and view medicine as a service to humanity. AIIMS Gorakhpur is becoming a major healthcare centre for eastern Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring regions.
