Congress leader and Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge said the Centre initially denied him permission to visit the US but has now approved it two days after he wrote to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. "Was the previous order revoked to avoid accountability after the matter became public," Kharge said. He added that his visit aimed to attract investments for Karnataka.
