Actress Priyanka Chopra was the first choice to play Surpanakha in director Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana', ETimes reported, citing a source. The role eventually went to Rakul Preet Singh. "Things didn't work out owing to Priyanka's packed schedule with international projects. That is when Rakul came on board," the source said, adding, "She fitted the role perfectly and brought intensity."
