Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday said that voting percentage increase in Maharashtra Assembly polls was due to "pro-incumbency" and feeling of "affinity" the voters had towards Mahayuti government. An estimated 65% voter turnout was recorded in Maharashtra polls. However, election officials said the figures are provisional, adding that 61.74% of polling was recorded in 2019.
