A Chinese competition's organisers have disqualified Jiang Ping, a 17-year-old math prodigy, after confirming she received unauthorised assistance in an international math competition. Jiang, a fashion design student, came 12th in the contest organised by Alibaba in June. Organisers said that Jiang had violated rules by getting help from her teacher in a preliminary round of the competition.
