A study published in 'The Lancet Regional Health – Southeast Asia' suggested that agricultural labourers in Tamil Nadu, who work for hours under the sun, could be damaging their kidneys. The study found signs of kidney issues among the workers, while more than half had no underlying conditions, suggesting that long hours of labour with dehydration might be the cause.
