Protesters from across Maharashtra, who had gathered at Mumbai's Azad Maidan for the Maratha quota reservation agitation, also enjoyed sightseeing, reports said. Many visited the Gateway of India, Nariman Point, and the Taj Hotel, taking photos, recording videos, and dancing to drum beats. The protest, led by Manoj Jarange, demanded a 10% Maratha quota under the Other Backward Classes category.
