Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla's return from space "is a proud moment for every Indian". Rajnath stated Shubhanshu "has not just touched space, he has lifted India’s aspirations to new heights." He is the first Indian to go to the International Space Station (ISS) and returned after staying 18 days in space.
