Researchers at Emory University found that psilocin, compound formed in body from psilocybin after consumption of psychedelic mushrooms, improved survival and delayed ageing in aged mice. The researchers also grew human lung, skin cells and added psilocin. The cells lived almost 30% longer at lower dose and over 50% longer at higher doses. The treated cells showed less DNA damage.
