The Maharashtra government has proposed an underground road network in Pune to address worsening traffic congestion in central areas. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has instructed officials to prioritise projects such as Shaniwarwada-Swargate and Sarasbaug-Shaniwarwada corridors. Supported by the Pune Municipal Corporation, the initiative aims to reduce congestion and improve mobility.
