Umesh Mhetre, a Pune resident from Sahajpur village in Daund taluka, has claimed to have filed his nomination for the vice-presidential elections scheduled on September 9, with counting on the same day. Coming from a farmer family, Mhetre said he assists the poor with medical, financial and legal issues. He has appealed to MPs for support.
