The Pune Metro will soon introduce driverless train services, starting with the proposed Khadakwasla-Kharadi route. According to Maharashtra Metro, while current plans involve Attended Train Operation (ATO), rising ridership has prompted a shift to Unattended Train Operation (UTO). Officials said the move will improve safety, punctuality and reliability.
