Dr Hema Sane, 85, former Botany professor at Pune's Abasaheb Garware College (1962-2000), passed away on Friday. Known as the "Encyclopedia of Plants," she lived without electricity all her life in Budhwar Peth, embracing nature. A PhD holder and author, she dedicated her property to her pets and echoed Buddha's teaching, "Find your own path in life."
