Deputy CM Ajit Pawar announced plans for three new municipal corporations in Pune, one in Hinjawadi, another in Chakan and a third covering areas like Wagholi, Loni Kalbhor and Uruli Devachi. He said this would ensure surplus funds for infrastructure such as roads and drainage. Pawar said he would discuss the proposal with Fadnavis and Shinde before finalising.
