Amid Mumbai's move to shut pigeon feeding spots, former Pune corporator Sham Mankar is raising awareness after losing his daughter, Sheetal, to lung fibrosis caused by pigeon droppings. Despite years of treatment and being listed for a lung transplant, she died on January 19. Mankar warns, "Pigeons are capable of looking for food. Feeding them is harming our health."
