Amid floods in Punjab, CM Bhagwant Mann wrote to PM Narendra Modi, urging him to release ₹60,000 crore of the "state's funds", which he claimed are "stuck" with the Centre. Floods have impacted about 1,000 villages and affected lakhs of people, Mann wrote. He also urged a revision of SDRF norms, aiming to pay at least ₹50,000/acre to affected farmers.
