Punjab-based startup Nalwa Aero has become the first Indian company to receive DGCA Design Organisation Approval (DOA) for its 5-seater eVTOL aircraft, a significant step toward launching air taxi services by 2028. With a range of 300 km and a top speed of 350 km/hr, the project could transform urban air mobility, though challenges around safety, infrastructure, and regulation remain.
