After his visit to flood-ravaged Punjab on Thursday, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said the government would work on short, medium and long term plans to lift the state out of the crisis. "We need a short-term, medium-term and long-term plan," he said. Due to illegal mining, embankments have weakened, he flagged, adding that danger of infections loomed.
