A jail guard in Punjab's Gurdaspur district allegedly shot dead his wife and mother-in-law before killing himself with an AK-47 gun, police said. The family claimed Gurpreet Singh, posted at Gurdaspur jail, had longstanding marital disputes and had reportedly been threatening and mentally torturing his wife. According to the victim’s family, the couple, married in 2016, frequently argued.
