A man in Firozpur, Punjab, allegedly assaulted his 17-year-old daughter Preet Kaur. The accused had repeatedly expressed doubts about his daughter’s conduct and had been physically abusive. On Tuesday night around 8:40 pm, Surjit Singh took his daughter on his bike to the canal, tied her hands with a scarf, and threw her into the water.
