Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains performed religious atonement at Gurudwara Shishganj Sahib, as directed by Sikh high priests. He was penalised for allowing a song and dance event during Guru Tegh Bahadur's martyrdom anniversary in Srinagar. His sewa included cleaning footwear, sweeping the gurdwara, offering karah prasad worth ₹1,100, and participating in ardas to seek forgiveness.
