Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann announced a relief package for the state's flood-affected people. He announced that compensation of ₹20,000 per acre will be provided for crop damage to the affected farmers and ₹4 lakh ex gratia to the families of those who lost their lives. He allowed landowners to remove and sell the sand deposited on their fields by floodwaters.
