Special US envoy Steve Witkoff claimed Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to allow US and its European allies to offer "Article 5-like protection" to Ukraine. Article 5 of NATO Charter states that an armed attack on one member of the alliance will be considered attack on all. Witkoff said this is the first time Russia has agreed to this.
