A Washington Post report said Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a call with US President Trump, demanded that Ukraine surrender full control of Donetsk to end war. Putin reportedly said he'll surrender parts of two Ukrainian regions he has partly conquered, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, in exchange of Donetsk's control. Located in eastern Ukraine, Donetsk is considered a strategically vital region.
