Russian President Vladimir Putin called his Brazilian counterpart Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to discuss cooperation among BRICS nations amid US' move to slap heavy tariffs. Putin had earlier dialled PM Narendra Modi to discuss the matter. The US imposed 50% tariff on imports from India due to its purchase of Russian oil and Brazil also saw a 50% tariff.
