Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's lawyer told Pune court that Rahul faces a threat to his life from the complainant in a defamation case related to his remarks on Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. He said the complainant is a direct descendant of Nathuram Godse, who killed Mahatma Gandhi. "There's documented history of violence and anti-constitutional tendencies linked to...complainant’s lineage," he added.
