Maharashtra Congress President Harshwardhan Sapkal defended Rahul Gandhi’s article, saying, "Rahul's article (match-fixing) isn't against BJP...or anyone." He explained that Rahul only presented facts based on Election Commission (EC) data. Criticising BJP, Sapkal asked, “Why are they defending EC? Are you the assigned lawyer?” He alleged that the current state government was "formed by stealing".
