Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will adopt 22 children in J&K's Poonch who lost both their parents or the family’s sole breadwinner in the Pakistani shelling during India's Operation Sindoor in May. Jammu and Kashmir Congress chief Tariq Hameed Karra stated that Rahul will bear the educational expenses of these children and "the assistance will continue till these children graduate."
