Officials with Ministry of Railways put excessive pressure to clear appointments of those candidates who allegedly gifted land to then Union railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, CBI claimed. "All candidates who applied for the jobs of substitutes (Group D) came from the same state...How can this be?" CBI said before a Delhi court while arguing in land-for-jobs scam case.
