Railways will install CCTV cameras in nearly 74,000 coaches and 15,000 locomotives to boost passenger safety and curb crime, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said. "Each coach will be fitted with four cameras...while locomotives will have six cameras...with two desk-mounted microphones," he said. Cameras will be capable of capturing high-quality footage even at train speeds exceeding 100 kmph.
