Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw told Parliament on Wednesday that 238 local trains would be procured for Mumbai. Vaishnaw said that the upgrade of Mumbai local trains was good news for Mumbaikars, who had been waiting long to hear it. The announcement was made after discussions with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
