The Great Indian Bustard chicks born in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer have been named after key officials linked to Operation Sindoor by forest department to honour them. 'Sindoor', ‘Sophia’ after Colonel Sofia Qureshi, and ‘Vyom’ after Wing Commander Vyomika Singh are among the names given to chicks. This aims to pay tribute to national heroes while reinforcing the connection with wildlife conservation.
