Senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai on Monday responded to allegations by BJP of conducting a "scripted interview" with Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray for Maharashtra elections. Sardesai stated that he is "saddened but not at all surprised by the right-wing IT cell." Sardesai's response came after BJP leader Amit Malviya accused the journalist of "feeding talking points to Uddhav Thackeray."
